Rental Terms

The vehicle shall not be operated:

  • By any learner driver or any driver under the age of 21years.
  • By any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • In motor sport event.
  • On the beach or any other terrain other than demarked main & secondary roads.
  • By any other person(S) agreed on the contract.
  • The hirer shall not exceed the speed limit of 40km/h in the town area and 60km/h outside town.
  • The hirer shall not park under coconut trees.
  • The hirer shall refrain from putting excessive sand in the car (liable to a valley charge of SCR 500).
  • The hirer is responsible to ensure that fuel is returned full tank at own cost.
  • The hirer is responsible for any abnormal damages to tires other than a puncture.
  • Under no circumstance shall a rented car be driven on a flat tyre.
  • The hirer shall bare the cost of replacing the car keys if it is loss or damaged.
  • Under no circumstance shall the hood of the car be opened and any mechanical parts or engine be tempered with.
  • The hirer hereby releases the company from any liability for loss or damage to any property left, stored or transported by hirer.
  • The hirer respects the maximum capacity of the rented cars to be a set maximum of 5 passengers, plus 1 large and 1 small suitcase. The hirer is advised to make 2 trips or pay for a taxi to transport additional passengers or luggages.
  • If the vehicles are found and reported to be operating in any of these circumstances, the car maybe confiscated immediately and rental contract will be terminated with no refund.
  • In case of any accident in which the vehicle is damaged or cause damage, the hirer undertakes to inform the company immediately and have the case investigated on the spot by local authorities. Under no circumstance should the car be moved.
  • The hirer shall take instructions from the company and not from bystanders or anybody else on the site. In case of non-compliance or the hirer is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the hirer shall be liable for the full cost of the damages incurred.

Rental Policies and procedure

Kreolo car hire has a minimum rental duration set to 3 days.

  • The company reserves the right to change car of choice to a similar model if for some reason requested car is in break down or an accident.
  • Car rental operators on Praslin do not have offices at the arrival / departure Praslin Ero Jetty Terminal and Praslin Domestic Airport. The agreed time for delivery/return of vehicle is the time the representatives will be at the Jetty or Airport, any changes in time, the company must be advised in order to assist in a punctual manner.
  • We set the minimum rental to 3 days, however should a client wish to rent for less days or for even one day we do provide the service with a different rates compared to the 3 days package.
  • 20% prepayment is required to secure every reservation. After we receive it, we’ll email a formal booking confirmation and voucher with your delivery details. Note that unpaid booking are not confirmed.
  • The remaining balance is due on the rental day and may be paid in CashEUR, USD, SCR or credit card.
  • All Reservations made via Credit Card are secured instantly.

Payment terms

  • To confirm your booking, pay 20% of the rental total. The exact amount may vary by season and according to the service provider’s conditions.
  • The balance is payable on the day of rental by Cash, EUR, USD, SCR or credit card.
  • If you pay the balance by credit card, a 3.5% convenience charge applies only to the outstanding balance, not the total rental amount.
  • Reservation without any prepayment will not be processed. A prepayment is definitely required to secure your car rental reservation.
  • Please note: If you choose to settle the remaining balance by Card on the day of Pick Up, a 3.5% Convenience Fee will be applied to the outstanding balance.

Insurance taxes and coverage

The cost of Full Comprehensive Insurance, Taxes, and the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) are already included in the daily rental rate of your chosen vehicle. In the event of an accident, the renter’s liability shall be limited to the following: 2000 Euro maximum liability.

Purchase Extra (Lower the risk by reducing the C.D.W insurance excess)

Excess can be lowered to:

  • Euro 1500 at an extra cost of Euro10 per day
  • Euro 1000 at an extra cost of Euro 15 per day
  • Euro 800 at an extra cost of Euro 20 per day.

Valet Cleaning

We understand that sand is inevitable, however, we kindly ask our clients to make an effort to reduce the amount of sand brought into the car. Seychelles beach sand has a high salt content which can easily cause rust and damage the car. A valet charge of SCR 500 will be applied.

Valets are charged in the following instances:

  • Wet seats
  • Sun cream everywhere in the car ( on the door lock, interior door frame, window ,dashboard, seat)
  • Sand everywhere in the car

Sand on the foot carpets is perfectly fine, but sand on the seats, driving consoles, dashboard, doors, and Centre console will require a valet.

Changes and delays

For any changes in arrival/departure time or accommodation changes, please notify us as early as possible so we can adjust your delivery and pick up.

Hotels, Guest houses, Apartments and other residence

  • Please be ready at the time shown on your voucher and share your room number after check-in to help us locate you upon arrival at the reception.
  • Free delivery and pick up from Jetty, Airport and all accommodation.

Roadside Assistance

We offer 24/7 roadside assistance to all clients at a once-off fee of 20 Euros.

Refuelling policy

Cars are delivered to your chosen location with a full tank of fuel to ensure that you can explore with ease from the moment you arrive. We ask our clients to ensure that the vehicle is ready for collection with a full tank at the end of their rental period.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

We offer FREE Cancellation up to 48 hours, prior to your confirmed rental Pick Up date and time. If you wish to cancel your booking, please feel free to contact us as follows:


Once your cancellation has been acknowledged on our side, we will credit your card with your prepayment amount within 7 to 10 bank’s working days.
A refund will only be applied onto the same card with which you did your prepayment on our website.

You will incur a 20% Cancellation Fee if you choose to cancel within 48 Hours of the confirmed Pickup date and time. If you need to cancel within 48 Hours and you have made a full prepayment for your booking, we will refund the Full prepaid amount LESS 20% Cancellation Fee. Any cancellations at the confirmed Pick Up date and time or after the confirmed Pick Up date and time, your reservation will be treated as a NO SHOW and no portion of the prepaid amount will be refunded.

If you do not cancel your reservation prior to the confirmed Pick Up date and time, or in the case you are a NO SHOW, you will not be refunded any portion of your prepayment.

To avoid any Cancellation Fees, you must cancel your booking at least 48 hours prior to the confirmed Pickup date and time. Please feel free to contact us, as follows:
